Neon Underground

Neon Underground is a personal story racer and a homage to the arcade racers of the mid 2000s, intending to bring entities together playing games on the couch and telling their own silly and meaningful stories. You find yourself in a dream state between cyberspace and meat space, with a strange being that yearns for your attention.

This game was a project I started out in my 2nd year of my Bachelors degree (2022). It's honestly one of the first projects I have been proud of. The final version of the game will ideally be a split-screen co-op racing adventure, assuming I don't loose my mind along the way...

I have spent the last 2 Months (Feb-March 2025) rebuilding and demoing the game in person to friends, and on my skateboard outside, but it's time to bring this online too ahaha. 

I Would Recommend you play this with a Controller, but keyboard is fine too. The controls are not outlined in the game yet, but here they are:

• Accelerate/Forward : W(keyboard) | R2/Right Trigger (Controller)\
  
• Reverse/Brake : S(keyboard) | L2/Left Trigger (Controller)
• Handbrake: Spacebar (Keyboard) | O/B (Controller)
• Boost: Left Shift | X/A (Controller)
